In the not too distant future a lot of us will be watching the Stanley Cup finals.  We will be cheering when our team scores. We will complain because the Refs didn’t call a penalty. We will be booing when our favorite player gets tripped up. The Clubhouse would be a good place to watch the games.

How about a small wager on the outcome of each game: $1 wins $10 , $2 wins $20, $5 wins $50.

Here is how it works:
I have cards with ten lines in a column. Once each line has one name I will uncover a column that contains the numbers one to ten (doubles for zero). The final score determines which line and who wins that card. Once each card has 10 different names I will start a second card again with 10 different names. The second, third and perhaps fifth cards may have some names on prior cards. So a player may make more than one bet but will need another 9 players for a card to be complete. The extra on any game will be the first names on the next game’s first card.

The Stanley Cup may be won in a minimum of four games and a maximum of seven. I am willing to provide cards for any and all games played. How will I make this work you ask? Easy. You will pre commit to the amount per game. I will keep a spreadsheet of all bets. The Cards will be kept and one exchange of moneys will occur the first Friday TGIF following the final game. A pair of independent observers will audit the proceedings.

Example a commitment of  $2 on three cards would be a maximum potential commitment of $2 X 3 cards  – $6 X 7 games for a maximum of $42. So how many dollars on how many cards and finally how many games played will determine the actual amount committed.

The sooner I get an adequate number of responses, the sooner I can start the record keeping.
