Canadian Grandmothers Nurturing African Grandmothers
Saturday May 5th
2:00 – 3:30pm in the Four Seasons Lounge

You are invited to the Clubhouse to view and learn about a remarkable ‘Solidarity Quilt’ which is traveling across Canada to raise awareness of the needs of African Grandmothers affected by HIV AIDS.

‘Nurturing Generations Under the Canopy of Sisterhood’ was stitched together by over 300 women from Africa and Canada. It holds the story of what becomes possible when women gather, connect and share their resources, creativity and compassion. The quilt started it’s journey last October in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, and will be here in Parksville for a short time in early May. I feel very fortunate to be able to share it with my friends and neighbours in Craig Bay for even a few hours!  After this year of travel across Canada, the quilt will be housed in the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg

Hope you can join us for wine, tea/coffee and conversation!
