This month we collected $1302.90 for the Social Committee. We had a new high of 26 volunteers and used 5 trucks and a U-Haul cube van.
This month we netted $1056.30 for the social committee. It took 25 volunteers, 4 trucks and 2 SUVs to handle the load. The next bottle drive is scheduled for Monday, September 7th. Mike Taylor Bottle Drive Coordinator
We collected approximately 13,000 containers yielding $1359.10 for the Social Committee. This is about $500 more than has been collected at one time according to the records we have. Thanks to the 23 volunteers and suppliers of 4 trucks and one large trailer which were all jam-packed. We have received some questions about what is subject to refund of deposits. Bottle Drive Update: Bottle drives are suspended for the foreseeable future as a result of the risks associated with Covid-19 This includes the one previously scheduled for April 3rd In addition, the Parksville bottle depot is closed Thank you!
This month we were fortunate to have perfect weather for the bottle drive. We collected $488 for the Social Committee, with the aid of 20 volunteers and three trucks to collect and haul to the depot. After the April bottle drive, Mike Taylor will be taking over from Brent McGowan as coordinator. Thanks to the 20 volunteers who completed the February bottle drive within a break in the rainy weather. Thanks also to the residents who otherwise contributed to the drive. A total of $446 was collected for the Social Committee.
Many thanks to the 20 volunteers and residents who contributed to another successful bottle drive Friday. The skies cleared just long enough to complete the job before the rain returned at noon. A total of $599 was collected for the Social Committee. A good start to 2020!
Twenty volunteers came out Friday morning to collect, sort and deliver returnable beverage containers to the Recycle Depot. Thanks to all who continued to the drive. Many thanks to the 18 volunteers and participants in completing another successful drive Friday, November 1st. Refunds increased from 5 cents to 10 cents November 1st on many beverage containers, increasing our revenue from this source. A total of $580 was collected for the Social Committee.
