This month we were fortunate to have perfect weather for the bottle drive. We collected $488 for the Social Committee, with the aid of 20 volunteers and three trucks to collect and haul to the depot. Thanks to the 20 volunteers who completed the February bottle drive within a break in the rainy weather. Thanks also to the residents who otherwise contributed to the drive. A total of $446 was collected for the Social Committee.

Many thanks to the 18 volunteers and participants in completing another successful drive Friday, November 1st. Refunds increased from 5 cents to 10 cents November 1st on many beverage containers, increasing our revenue from this source. A total of $580 was collected for the Social Committee.
Thanks to the volunteers and residents who participated in another successful drive Friday. We were saddened to hear from Bob Williams, one of our most regular and long-standing volunteers, of his retirement. Thank you, Bob! We will miss you! A total of $383 was raised for the Social Committee.
The September 6th Bottle Drive had 24 volunteers including 5 new people. The extra help was much appreciated as we had an overflow volume of cans and bottles to sort. The final result was delivery of $792 to the Social Committee. Check out the photos below taken by Jack Broadbent - what a haul!
