The Heritage Lands Sub-committee is reminding all Craig Bay owners and residents that it is unlawful to disturb any archaeological or heritage site.
It has recently come to our attention that someone has transplanted a potted plant into the interior of the Heritage Lands situated between our Craig Bay community and the shoreline. This action is contrary to the provincial Heritage Conservation Act which prohibits the alteration of a heritage site.
The sub-committee will provide an open presentation in May for interested owners and residents. This will be an opportunity to receive additional information on the unique nature of the Heritage Lands which we are fortunate to have on our doorstep.
