Craig Bay Acoustic Guitar Band – 2025
The Craig Bay Acoustic Guitar Band has had a fulfilling 2025 and looks forward to more of the same in 2026. Over the year we’ve added three new players and said goodbye to two, both original members who have moved away from Craig Bay. We now have seven regular attendees at our Tuesday evening sessions.
We meet in the Conservatory every Tuesday evening at 7 pm, and welcome players of all levels of skill and style. We play both acoustic and electric guitars, but would also welcome other string players. Anyone interested in joining us should contact a group member in order to get a sense of the music we play and how best to access our repertoire, which is getting extensive.
The Craig Bay Guitar Band has had a history of performing for Craig Bay community events over the last seven years including Canada Day and other great social events. This year, we were privileged to be asked to play for a full house at the Wine Club’s AGM in May, and the Social Club invited us to perform to a packed house, at one of their successful TGIF series events in early November. Our style is to encourage audience participation, and pass out song sheets to help everyone sing along to the songs. Our thanks to the Wine Club and Social Club for inviting us to join their events this year.
