HISTORY
The installation of baffles in the Conservatory has necessitated the removal of the large piece of artwork on the east wall. Rather than purchasing new artwork, the BCsC has realised that this would be an excellent opportunity to showcase the artwork of the many talented Craig Bay residents. The plan is to showcase a new selection of artwork by various residents every 2 – 3 months. The project will be structured around a three person Selection Committee. To keep the project FRESH the Selection Committee will change person(s) by at least one from selection round to selection round scheduled as seen appropriate in a two or three month rotation period. This will allow for a broader aesthetic oeuvre of Craig Bay residents work. It is hoped that all Craig Bay residents, regardless of the length of time that they have been pursuing their artistic endeavours, will be supportive of this initiative and interested in submitting their work for consideration.

Please note that THIS IS NOT A SALE!
LAYOUT + DIMENSIONS
This will be a hanging exhibit, so regrettably any art requiring a cabinet or horizontal flat surface will not be advised due to the limited space in the Conservatory for the larger events.
Layout will depend on the number of pieces chosen based on content and size.
Dimensions of artwork:
must be no larger than 39″ x 60″
The depth of the artwork with frame needs to be no more than 1 3/4” from the wall to allow for clearance of the projector screen.
SECURITY
Although the building is locked, the exhibit space is not secure with personnel—only in the office on the lower floor during the morning hours. Generally the Conservatory is booked during morning hours. There may exist potential for theft. This would have to be discussed with each artist at the time of successful selection as part of original contact. For this reason, a Waiver will be prepared for your signature. Applicants may choose to have their own insurance policy for art that is exhibited.
