Many golfers have been asking what is the date of the CBCGC this year……
You can mark August 28th on your calendar, as the beautiful Qualicum Memorial Golf Course has been booked. Details and registration forms will be coming out in July via the Friday Email and the Tidelines.
For those who are new to Craig Bay (and those who can’t remember) this may help:
– The CBCGC is in its 6th year of the present format. It has raised approximately $10,000 for our partnership with the CB Fall Food Drive as a kickstarter for that worthwhile event.
– Teams of four tee off starting at noon, staggered by 15 minutes for a 2-hour round.
– You may pick your team or put your name in to be assigned to a foresome. Play is Best Ball or Scramble.
– As it is a fun time and not meant to be competitive, the prizes are mainly donated golf passes from the various courses on the area. Winners are pulled out of a hat – anyone can win.
– A lunch chit is part of the reasonable entrance fee – again, details will follow after the organizers have our first meeting.
