How to Get Your Club / Activity Started Again

The Beach Club and its amenities are closed until further notice, and all cottage and Beach Club facility rentals are suspended as well. No reservations for any future dates will be taken at this time. 

However, planning for your group, club or activity to begin again as soon as the Covid-19 situation permits needs to start now, so that the BC Health and WorkSafe BC Compliance Plans that are required to be posted have been put in place. Some activities will be able to begin sooner than others.

Please follow the steps below:

1.With your group or as the Group Facilitator, develop your Compliance Plan.

• •  The COVID-19 regulations and guidelines for various industries and activities are available through the Worksafe BC, Vancouver Island Health Authority, BCCDC and Vancouver Coastal Health Authority websites – this is where you can find resources, checklists and information regarding the requirements for your Compliance Plan.

2. Submit your plan to the Review Committee for screening via email to:  cloutierasia@yahoo.ca

• •  The committee will give you feedback with regard to any information you might need to change or add.

3. Once your Plan has been reviewed, the Review Committee will forward it to the CLC for approval.

4. The CLC will contact you when your Plan is approved, along with a tentative start date that your group can resume its activities. The appropriate time for a start date will be based on the facility or space required, the status of the Beach Club being re-opened, or at the discretion of any updates to the status of the BC Re-Start Plan.

Please note:
All required materials, supplies, supervision, signage and postings of the Compliance Plan are the responsibility of the group requesting the use of any of the Beach Club areas. These services will not be provided by the Beach Club Office Coordinator, and all costs and efforts associated with the Compliance Plan requirements are the responsibility of the user group.
