Essentrics Fitness @ Conservatory

ESSENTRICS is a full body workout that rapidly changes the shape of your body through a dynamic and fluid combination of strengthening and stretching. By developing strong, lean muscles, the technique helps improve your posture. Perfect for men and women of all fitness levels, this program rebalances the body, prevents and treats injuries, and unlocks tight joints. With a diverse music playlist accompanying each routine, this equipment free workout leaves you feeling energized, youthful, and healthy. 

Beginner / moderate level.  Yoga mat is needed.  Optional: 2” block (riser)

Weekly rehearsals are held in the Conservatory Tuesday afternoons from 1:30-3:30. Fall (Sept – Dec) and Spring (Jan – May) sessions each conclude with a ticketed public concert at Knox United Church. There is a membership fee which helps to offset expenses BUT if you have ever thought of possibly singing in your Craig Bay choir, do come and sit in on our first few rehearsals with no obligation or commitment.

Acoustic Guitar Group @ Conservatory

Meeting of like-minded people who like to play guitar (or possibly banjo or uke) to expand or improve their abilities. We play all genres and have a fairly large song book from beginner to more complex, and we usually encourage singing along. New songs added regularly.  There is a real mix of abilities, and all are welcome.

A gentle class that focuses on releasing muscle tension which can contribute to back discomfort. Work to maintain mobility of your pelvis and spine in a safe yet effective manner. Discover how breathing well can contribute to stability and strength.  Reduce struggle, strain and risk of injury through improved movement patterns. Find greater ease and comfort in all your daily activities.

Some of the benefits of this gentle art are the promotion of better balance, reflexes, circulation, joint movement, connective tissue health, concentration, etc. and, of course, fellowship and fun. There is no instructor, and therefore, no cost to participate. The leader is a resident volunteer. Previous experience is necessary. Please contact to register.
