APPRECIATION FOR THE BOTTLE DRIVE VOLUNTEERS

As soon as a COVID-19 compliance plan was in place, the dedicated bottle drive volunteers have been meeting monthly (now on the first Monday of the month) to collect, sort and transport returnable bottles to the recycle bottle depot.

Funds collected have supported social events for Craig Bay.  Unfortunately, it has not been possible to provide coffee hour with goodies from our baking volunteers following each bottle drive or the annual appreciation lunch.  On October 5, 2020 members from the Social Committee attended the bottle drive to present a small coffee gift and express sincere thanks for all the work!

~ From the presentation on October 5th….

GOOD MORNING, WONDERFUL BOTTLE DRIVE PEOPLE!

This is Carolyn Russell, Vice President, and I am Finola Rayner.  We are from the Craig Bay Social Committee, who are the recipients of your amazing work which funds social events for the Craig Bay Residents.  (I know we are a bit un-social at the moment!)

You have done so much extra in the past few months.

We’d love to have been able to give you your annual social lunch in appreciation of your work.  However, being in this awful COVID-19 time the best we can do is tell you how grateful we are and give some form of tangible recognition.  Also, there’s a small token of our gratitude in a Tim’s card each so you can pick up coffee, bagels or donuts in your “bubble groups” and pat yourselves on the back for doing an amazing job for Craig Bay’s future social events.

The Social Committee plans to put on free events soon for as many people as possible when safe to do so.

THANK YOU MIKE TAYLOR, FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION AND YOUR GROUP…  THANK YOU EVERYBODY!
