As we move into a new season of landscaping care, we have a few reminders and some information.

  • As in previous years, the ILS crew will be in our strata each week on Wednesday and Thursday. Most weeks with rapid lawn growth, our lawns will be cut.  Edge trimming will generally be done every two weeks.

  • Garden waste pickup will be on Wednesdays.

  • On wet days, such as yesterday, there is no way of preventing some clumping of wet grass after the mower cuts.

  • A new ride-on mower is due to arrive any day and this should improve the quality of the cut.

  • Hand mowing will occur where necessary.

  • Please bear  in mind that we have a new crew with new leadership this year.  It will take time for them to become familiar with us.  As well, crew members have had to be pulled in from other strata to cover staffing shortages, and these people will do their best.

  • We ask that owners not give direction to the ILS workers.

  • Concerns or questions are to be discussed with either the lead crew member – the guy now being identified by a black baseball cap – or with the Landscape Committee, preferably via the Landscape Maintenance Request available on the Craig Bay web site, under Arbutus Grove.  Ben, our lead man, is aware of reasons things are being done and he wants our owners to be satisfied with the work ILS is doing for us.

Should you have comments, we and the crew want to hear them.

Thank you all!

Your Arbutus Grove Landscape Committee, Pat Pawlett and Maggie Schulz
