Each Strata Corporation Council is empowered to approve an increase for the cost of essential services. It is not the practice of the Strata Corporation Council to increase assessments for the purpose of acquiring new facilities or changes without the approval of a majority of the ownership. Considerable research has been undertaken to establish the annual operating budget and the monthly assessment payable by the owners which is considered realistic and workable. Should circumstances warrant it or should the Strata Corporation desire a change which would result in higher operating costs, notification of an increased assessment would result for the next fiscal year.
